LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Fighting Owls freshman
Demeya Felder laid in the game winning basket with 12.1 seconds left in fourth, giving Harford a nail-biting 64-62 win over Indian River State College on Sunday evening.
Felder and
Jada Lake led the ladies in blue with 17 points apiece, while
Tsahai Corbie and
Jaelyne Deveaux contributed 11 each.
Harford jumps to 10-1 with the victory, while Indian River drops to 7-7.
Turning Point
Down one with 12 seconds to go, The River would blow a wide open layup on their next possession and foul Felder with four seconds in regulation. Felder knocked down one of her two takes, then helped Harford fend off a last second shot from Indian River to pick up its second win of the weekend.
