Fighting Owls at a Glance
- In just five seasons as the Fighting Owls head coach, Mike Seney has established himself as one of the premiere coaches across the NJCAA basketball landscape. His impeccable conference record, back-to-back NJCAA National Tournament appearances, and five consecutive Md Juco Tournament and Region XX titles have positioned him to go down as one of the all-time greats in Harford lore.
- Much of the Fighting Owls' success this season can be attributed to forward Dahnye Redd. The redshirt-sophomore sensation is third amongst NJCAA Div. I players in rebounding (13.6 rbg) with a few reigns as the nation's leading score as well (22.3 ppg.).
- Jewel Porter, Elaija DeMeza and Janiece Loney also return from last year's 27-3 squad to give them one of the more experienced teams in the conference.
- Ayanna Mazyck, Shawkina Mulazim, Ariana Fleming and Alexus King have all been welcomed additions to the Harford offense this season, which currently sits second amongst all NJCAA Div. I programs in scoring (93.3 ppg.).
- The Fighting Owls defense has shined throughout the season. The ladies in blue rank third in the NJCAA in steals (17.7 spg.) while giving up the second-fewest points per game (49.4).
Lady Panthers at a Glance
- Baltimore City witnessed a changing of the guard during the offseason, with head women's basketball coach and athletic director Tara A. Owens moving on to take over the Central State University athletics program.
- The new-look Lady Panthers are led by Felicia Hardy, who guided the team to an 18-10 record in her first season. Hardy's team has struggled away from home this season, tallying just a 6-6 record on the road.
- Sophomore's Raelyn Muldrow (14.4 ppg) and Vivian Chigbu (11.1 ppg) lead the charge on offense for Baltimore City, which is averaging 70.8 points per contest.
- The Lady Panthers have been strong on defense this season as well. They're allowing opponents to score just 55.4 points per game while blocking a conference-leading 4.8 shots over their 19 games played this season.
