Bel Air, Md. – A pair of late doubles propelled Harford past the Lackawanna Falcons, 5-4, Friday afternoon in game one of a doubleheader.

Pitching dominated the headlines during the first four innings. Harford starter Braedon Fausnaught (4 IP, 2 ER) and Grant Powell (4 IP, 2 ER) each struck out eight batters and were unlucky to come away with no decisions for their performances. Fausnaught was particularly dominate early on, sitting down six batters in a row via punch out at one point.
 
Lackawanna held onto a one run lead thanks to a solo shot in the sixth, but Justin Brown would rip a double down the left field line to tie the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the inning.
 
Marty Neal (1.1 IP, 0 ER), who got Harford out of the jam in the sixth, struck out the first two Falcons he faced in the seventh before handing out back-to-back free passes. Neal would bounce back, forcing the next batter to fly out to left to end the inning.
 
Spencer Smith led off the back half of the seventh with a walk, then stole second during the next at-bat. Lackawanna reliever Justus Sanders seemed to regain his composure after striking out the next batter. Spencer Harbert would have different ideas, smashing a double to center to give the Fighting Owls their second walk-off victory in their last five games.
 
Harford jumps to 6-4 with the win, while Lackawanna (1-1) tastes defeat for the first time this season.
