Ethan Kiple allowed just two hits and struck out four in three innings of relief, earning the save while allowing Harford to hang on to a 4-3 win over the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats, Sunday afternoon at the Harford Sports Complex.
Starting pitcher
Mitch Hoon (4 IP, 3 ER) spread three strikeouts over the outing to claim his first win of the season. He forced a bases loaded double play and a fly out from the last two batters he faced in the fourth to preserve Harford's lead.
Jimmy Nixon carried the Harford offense, finishing 2-for-3 with two RBI. His single in the first and two-run double in the second accounted for three of Harford's four runs.
Harford improves to 22-5 with the victory. They have now won 12 games in a row.
Bryant & Stratton sinks to 7-25.
