La Plata, Md. – Harford returned to conference play on Wednesday, dropping game one of a doubleheader to the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Hawks, 9-0.
CSM started and ended the game strong, tagging Harford starter
Sam Beeler (5 IP, 9 ER) for four runs in the first and fifth inning. The Fighting Owls, however, struggled at the plate, tallying three hits over six innings. The Hawks defense did most of the heavy lifting with Harford only striking out three times.
Harford drops to 3-28 on the year (3-7 Md Juco). CSM improves to 10-7-1 (6-5 Md Juco).

- Erica James, Gabby Pfaff and Sam Beeler collected one hit each.
- Breanna Miller received Harford's lone free pass in the contest.
- The Fighting Owl defense did not commit an error for the fourth time this season.
