Bel Air, Md. – Casey Turner's RBI-triple in the fifth was all that separated Catonsville and Harford, as the Fighting Owls dropped game one of the doubleheaders, 2-1, Wednesday evening at the Harford Sports Complex.
Jenna House led the Fighting Owls at the plate with 2-for-3 performance. She drove in Harford's lone run in the third with an RBI-single through the middle of the infield
Both starting pitchers went the distance and performed well. Catonsville's Marissa Heuer (7 IP, 1 ER) struck out nine in a winning performance, while
Amanda Sullivan (7 IP, 2 ER) earned three punchouts in a losing effort.
Harford falls to 1-21 after the loss. Catonsville drops to 20-7.
