BEL AIR, Md. – The Richard Bland Statesmen used three first half goals to down the Harford Fighting Owls 3-2, Saturday afternoon at Harford Stadium.
Richard Bland sandwiched two goals around a strike from Harford freshman
Sean Michael Lynn inside of the opening 30 minutes. The Statesmen found their third score with less than a minute to play in the first half, propelling them to a 3-1 lead at the half.
Despite being outshot 18-2 in the second half it was Harford who owned the lone second half goal, pulling themselves back within one thanks to
Kevin Dietrich's 73
rd minute finish. Dietrich had the Fighting Owls only other chance just minutes later, a shot which was saved by Richard Bland's keeper.
Harford falls to .500 (3-3) on the year, while Richard Bland improves to 6-1.
