Harford Silences Skipjacks

BEL AIR, Md. – Harford men's soccer earned its third shutout win this season, knocking off the Chesapeake Skipjacks, 4-0, Thursday evening inside Harford Stadium.

Harford defensemen Kevin Dietrich, Wyatt Moran, Travis Bouthet, and Barrett Young assisted a pair of Fighting Owl goalies to keep the clean sheet. Ben Florio got the start and earned the win, while Mason Mullaney closed out the final 45 minutes and made one save.

Forward Angelo Poblete peppered the Chesapeake net during the first half, finally breaking through in the 42nd to Harford ahead 1-0. A curling strike by midfielder Ange Michel Wangu found the back of the net and doubled Harford's lead to open the second half. Raymond Kemausuor sealed the deal after the hour mark, tucking away two chances less than three minutes apart.

Harford surges to 6-4 (5-3 Md Juco) after the win, while Chesapeake falters to 1-8.
