ARNOLD, Md. – The Fighting Owls put together their second strong performance in four days, thrashing the Anne Arundel Riverhawks, 81-31, Monday night in Anne Arundel's own Jenkins Gym.
Harford controlled the paint all evening, scoring 54 points down low compared to Anne Arundel's six. The Fighting Owls also swatted back a season high 14 shots.
Harford soars to 15-3 (3-2 MD JUCO) on the season.
Turning Point
The Fighting Owls showed off their superiority as they got off to 20-1 run to start the game.
The run was orchestrated by
Kelvajha Foster's hot hand, as she scored nine points in the first three minutes of the contest. She wound up with 16 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists.
Box Score Highlights
- Jade Lake put together a double-double to the tune of 15 points and 11 rebounds.
- Aislynn Riggs came away with her own double-double after scoring 12 points and pulling down a team high 16 rebounds. She also led all players with eight blocks.
