No. 1 Harford Dismantles Finger Lakes in Home Opener

BEL AIR, Md. – The reigning NJCAA National Champion Harford women's lacrosse team took the field for their first regular season game of 2020 on Saturday, blasting the Finger Lakes Lakers by a 19-1 score line.

Harford jumped out a strong start, taking a 5-0 lead after the opening 10 minutes of play. While the offense continued to pour on the goals, it was the Fighting Owls' defense which held a shutout until the final seven minutes of the contest.

10 different Fighting Owls scored on a windy afternoon. Leading the way were a pair of sophomore returners in Keeley McHugh (five) and Sarah Dudick (four) as well as newcomer Elise Alders (three).

The Fighting Owls are now 1-0 on the season after the victory, while Finger Lakes dips to 0-1.
