BEL AIR, Md. – Despite a strong performance from starting pitcher
Cameron Kalandros (1-1), the Fighting Owls dropped the back half of a doubleheader, 5-3, to the Monroe Mustangs on Sunday night.
Kalandros, a native of Bel Air, punched out nearly a dozen Mustangs through 107 pitches. A three-run homer to dead center in the sixth eventually did in the redshirt sophomore and gave the visitors a 4-2 lead. Monroe stayed in front the rest of the contest to save a split on the day.
Harford falters to 9-4 on the season while Monroe improves to 5-8.
