BEL AIR, Md. - Two first half goals proved to be enough on Saturday for Harford, as the Fighting Owls picked up its fifth straight win with a 2-0 victory over the Monroe Tribunes.
The Fighting Owls relied on their two leading goal scorers,
Alexis Garcia and
Kye Williams, to get them through the day. Garcia scored the first goal of the morning after Williams shot was punched into his feet. The England native would finally find the back of the net in the 39th, giving Harford a 2-0 lead that they'd see out the rest of the contest with.
Harford's defense limited the Tribunes to just seven shots on target, all of which Fighting Owls keeperÂ
Emanuele Moretti managed to stop. It's the Italian's second straight game with seven saves.
After the victory, the Fighting Owls stand at 8-2.Â
