BEL AIR, Md. - Harford dropped its first Maryland JUCO Conference game of 2021, falling 64-55 to the Howard Dragons on Tuesday evening.
Kaitlyn Thacker and
Zaria Tatem tallied 12 points each in the loss. Thacker led the team with nine rebounds, while Tatem picked up six boards and three steals.
Harford is now 1-4 (0-1 MD JUCO) after the loss.
Turning Point
Both teams struggled from distance on the night, but the Dragons four three pointers compared to Harford's one was the only thing to separate the two teams on the score sheet. Howard sank two from distance in the second and third quarters, which helped grab them the lead out of halftime. The Fighting Owls went 0-for-10 from range during this stretch.
