NORTH EAST, Md. - Harford batters tallied 11 extra base hits, leading to a 15-5 victory over the Cecil Seahawks on Tuesday afternoon.
The power surge was headlined by
Jack Flanagan, who earned a hat trick of home runs as the designated hitter.
Patrick Campbell,
Reyce Curnane,
Ajay Sczepkowski, and
Hunter Blair also hit long balls on the afternoon.
The Fighting Owls and Seahawks were deadlocked at 4-4 heading into the fifth, but Harford's bats came alive in the final two innings and outscored Cecil 12-1. An eight-run fifth was sparked by back-to-back homers from Campbell and Curnane, followed by Flanagan's second of the day one two batters later.
Austin Biddle (1-0) earned his first win as a Fighting Owl, striking out seven over five innings.
Harford moves to 15-5-1 (11-2) with the victory.
