Riverhawks Soar Past Fighting Owls

BEL AIR, Md. - Harford faced Maryland JUCO foe Anne Arundel in a non-conference doubleheader on Monday, dropping both games to the Riverhawks inside the Harford Sports Complex.

The Fighting Owls falter to 0-13 on the season after the two losses.

Game One (Anne Arundel 6, Harford 1)
Sophomore hurler Lexi Buchanan (0-4) kept the Riverhawks at bay in the opener, allowing just six runs on eight hits over seven innings. The Fighting Owl offense struggled at the plate however, tallying just six hits in the contest.

Harford scored its lone run of the contest in the sixth after Paige Blaker drove home Lexi Buchanan on a single to right center.

Amanda Cliffe led the women in blue with a pair of base knocks, while Rilee Fazenbaker also chipped in one hit.

Game Two (Anne Arundel 13, Harford 0)
Harford's offense did not fair much better in game two, as the Riverhawks managed to shutout the Fighting Owls to earn a sweep.

Anne Arundel utilized a big third to take care of business, scoring eight runs on four hits and five errors.

Lexi Buchanan led Harford at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double.

Paige Blaker, Jordan Haslacker, and Kaylee Siler also reached base once via single.

Rilee Fazenbaker (0-6) was saddled with the loss on the bump, striking out one batter in 2 2/3 innings.
