KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Harford women's tennis team wrapped up its regular season on Monday, taking down Kutztown University 4-3.
How it Happened
The Bears picked up a point after Harford defaulted No. 6 singles, then earned the double point with a win in No. 2 doubles and a default by Harford in No. 3.
This left the Fighting Owls needing to win four of their five singles matches, and they would do just that.
Chloe Certain and
Alizee Ripolles took care of the Bears in straight sets at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
Natalia Calvo-Herrera got through a tough test at No. 3 solos, taking a 6-0, 7-6(5) victory.
Harford's final win of the day was brought in via
Paula Martinez, who traded sets with her Kutztown opposition before winning the third set tiebreaker for a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 win.
