BLUE BELL, Pa. – Harford baseball mustered up just five hits on Thursday, leading to a 9-3 defeat at the hands of Montgomery County.
The Fighting Owls trailed 6-0 and had registered just three hits heading into the seventh inning. A solo home run by second basemen
Patrick Campbell finally put Harford on the board in the top of the frame.
Harford utilized the long ball once more in the eighth, as
Ethan Kiple blasted a two-run shot to center to put the Fighting Owls within three. A comeback proved not to be in the cards however, as the Mustangs plated three in the bottom then blanked Harford in the ninth to take the victory.
The Fighting Owls now stand at 14-3-1 with the loss, while Montgomery County is now 3-0.
