BEL AIR, Md. – The Harford men's soccer team made the long trip to Keyser, WA Tuesday night to take on the Potomac State Catamounts. Threats of storms lingered throughout the evening, but the Fighting Owls ignored the weather to focus on the opponent on the pitch.
The first goal of the game came late in the first half.
Jahiem Campbell took a pass from
Andres Jaimes Montoy and netted his tally of the season. The Fighting Owls continued pressing the Catamount defense and scored three minutes later as
Angel Henderson took the feed from
Jeremy Rivera Gonzalez to put Harford up 2-0 going into halftime.
In the second half, both teams struggled to find the back of the net until Potomac's Mason Macher netted a goal off a pass from Will Lapid. The Fighting Owls tightened up the defense to prevent the Catamounts from getting off clean shots on goal. Harford goalkeeper,
Emanuele Moretti, was stellar in goal again to help lead the team to the second win of the season.
The Fighting Owls stand at 2-1 (1-0 MD JUCO) after the victory.
