BEL AIR, MD – The Fighting Owls picked up their second loss of the season yesterday, this time to #3 Anne Arundel.
 
It didn't take long for the Riverhawks to find the net, scoring their first goal just a little over a minute into the game. From there, the score line spiraled for the Fighting Owls and in a blink the home team trailed 8 goals to 1 in the first quarter. Ashley Waldhauser would produce the only goal for Harford in the first half, and #2 Harford would find themselves trailing 14-1 with two periods to play.
 
The Fighting Owls defeat was not for lack of effort. The Riverhawks outshot their opponent 29 to 14 while Harford goalie Sam Devorak logged 7 saves in the contest. The reigning National Champions under first-year coach Dara Woizesko may have some rust to work out, but ultimately all the right tools to compete. The challenge now is putting those pieces together and finding the right fit to perform as a top 5 team, with just a few more games to prepare for the postseason.
 
Next up, Harford travels to Rochester, New York to take on the #5 Tribunes of Monroe.
