BLACKWOOD, NJ – Harford Softball travelled to New Jersey on Monday for a double header against the Cougars of Camden County. Â

Game one ended in five innings after the Fighting Owls peppered the Cougars 20-2. The only runs for Camden County came in the first inning, while Harford kept the bats going throughout the first four. Three players for Harford stood out at the plate in the first contest, including
Lena Wondolowski who went 3 for 5 with three runs, two doubles, and three RBI's.
Emma Coughenour would go 3 for 4 with one hit and three RBI's, while
Alexia Gresko would also contribute two runs and two RBI's to the victory.

On the mound,
Caroline Hilyard would allow only three hits through five innings pitched, and 21 batters faced. She also recorded 10 strikeouts on the day.

Game two was more of the same for Harford. The first inning saw 12 runs for the Fighting Owls go unanswered by the Cougars. The contest was punctuated by a 2 RBI homerun by freshman
Ali Kirsch, her first on the season.

Mackenzie Burton allowed 1 run on 4 hits throughout her five innings, including 9 strikeouts.

On Wednesday, the Fighting Owls travel back to New Jersey for a double header against Rowan-Cumberland. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
