BEL AIR, MD - Harford Community College showcased their soccer prowess with a commanding 4-0 victory over Howard Community College in a match that highlighted their offensive strength and solid teamwork.
The scoring began in the 29th minute when Ashley McElwain of Harford found the back of the net off a ball across the box from Skye Dixon. This early lead set the tone for Harford's dominance in the match. Ava Lewis extended Harford's lead in the 32nd minute, capitalizing on a great ball in from Julia Skinner. The 2-0 lead put Howard Community College on the defensive, but Harford continued to press forward. Summer Mencer added to the tally in the 34th minute, sending the Fighting Owls into halftime leading 3-0.
The second half saw no let-up in Harford's offensive drive producing 13 shots, and allowing Howard just 2. Peyton Long found the back of the net in the 63rd minute, sealing the victory for Harford with a 4-0 scoreline.
