BEL AIR, MD -  On a brisk, chilly Monday, the Harford Fighting Owls hosted the Catonsville Cardinals who were winners of their last 6 games. In game one, the Cardinals struck first off starter, Anna Sexton. Cassidy Barth jump started the Catonsville offense with a homerun and the Cardinals took a 5-0 lead in the second inning. The Fighting Owls fought back with 4 runs of their own in the 3rd inning. Brooke Hasegawa hit a 3-run homer to get Harford back into the game. Coach Ashby turned to reliever. Brianna Lunenfeld to shut down the Cardinal attack. Lunenfeld pitched 4 scoreless innings while striking out 4. The Fighting Owls regained the lead in a 4-run, 5th inning led by Ali Kirsch's 2-run single. Harford tacked on a few more runs in the 6th inning and never looked back as they went on to win, 10-5. 

In game two, the high octane Harford offense displayed their power by hitting 3 homeruns. Tonya Marks got the Fighting Owls on the board first with her first home run of the season. In the 3rd inning the scoring flood gates opened as Alexia Gresko smashed a 3-run homer (her first of the year). Brooke Hasegawa followed with her 2nd homerun of the day. Harford jumped out to a 17-0 lead. Pitcher, Caroline Hilyard, held the Cardinal bats in check for 4 shutout innings until Catonsville broke through with 2 runs in the 5th inning. On the day, Hilyard went 5 innings with 5 strikeouts and giving up only 4 hits.
