    Assistant Coach
Jon Castro enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Harford baseball team. The former Fighting Owl baseball player serves as the recruiting coordinator while also coaching the offense and outfield as well as the third base coach.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities at Harford, Castro is also the head coach for the Evoshield Canes U17 North Showcase. 

Castro played one year for head coach Tom Eller, serving as an integral part of the then school-record 44-win 2011 club. The outfielder earned Second-Team All-Region XX while hitting .359 in 50 games with 51 hits and 28 stolen bases.

He transferred to Wilmington University for his final three years of baseball, earning his bachleor's degree in criminal justice in 2015. He redshirted in 2012 and was on the WILMU Dean's List all four years on campus while earning Academic All-Star honors as a junior and senior.

The Wildcats won three CACC Championships during his time on campus and made the NCAA Regional Tournament all four years. During his senior campaign, Castro helped the school reach the NCAA Division II College World Series. The outfielder/catcher collected 99 career hits at Wilmington with 85 runs and 32 stolen bases.

The Delaware native earned All-Conference honors at St. Mark's in 2010 after a stellar high school career. He served as assistant coach of a pair of travel teams in the summer, Woodstown Heat and Academia Warriors.
