Gage Rims joined the Harford Community College men's soccer program in July 2026 and brings with him extensive coaching experience at the club and high school levels, along with a collegiate playing career in the United States and England.
Rims has served as a head coach with Coppermine Soccer Club since 2020, progressing through the club's coaching pathway and currently leading the U-19 and U-16 National Academy squads. Beginning with the 2026-27 season, Rims will also take on a permanent coaching role with Coppermine's MLS NEXT Academy Development teams as the club expands its MLS NEXT Homegrown pathway. During his time with Coppermine, Rims has worked with high-level youth players and helped multiple athletes earn opportunities to continue their careers at the collegiate level.
Prior to joining Harford, Rims spent four seasons as an assistant coach at St. Paul's School for Boys from 2022 through 2026. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he served as a middle school physical education educator beginning in 2024. During his time with St. Paul's, Rims helped the soccer program capture three consecutive B Conference championships in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Rims began his collegiate playing career at Lock Haven University, where he competed from 2014 through 2019. He then continued his playing career at the University of Nottingham in England during the 2019-20 season. While at Nottingham, Rims earned a master's degree in Applied Sports & Exercise Medicine, completing the program in 2021. His educational background combines his experience as a collegiate athlete with an advanced understanding of sports, exercise and athlete development.
Rims holds both a National Diploma and Advanced National Diploma from United Soccer Coaches. He earned his National Diploma in 2023 and Advanced National Diploma in 2026.
