Lauren Nelson

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Lauren Nelson enters her first year as the Fighting Owls assistant coach. Before relocating to the Harford community, Nelson had two successful years as head coach for the Long Island Surge travel organization, where she dedicated herself to preparing players for collegiate-level of play. Nelson was also a private hitting instructor and has brought a wealth of hitting drills to share with the Fighting Owls softball program.
In addition to her coaching success,

Nelson played for two extremely competitive programs during her collegiate career. During her first season as a student-athlete, Nelson played for Tompkins Cortland Community College.  She served an integral role on this team during their playoff run, where TC3 finished third place in the nation.  Nelson then moved on to Farmingdale State College.  During all three of her years there, Nelson and her teammates won the Skyline Conference Championships and competed in the NCAA DIII Regionals.

Nelson spends her free time volunteering at the Havre de Grace Ambulance Corp.
