Paul Clary

Paul Clary returns as assistant softball coach for the second season. Clary, the father of head coach Erin Clary, coached first base for the Fighting Owls last season.

Clary was an integral part of the new Fighting Owl softball program. He helped guide the team to the third-most wins in school history, both overall (15) and in conference play (13). Only the 2002 and 2003 teams won more games than the 2014 bunch.

The team's 13-9-1 MD JUCO record was five games better than the 2013 squad and the program's first finish above .500 within the conference since 2009 when the team finished 11-9.

As a team, Harford improved in nearly every offensive category. They hit for a .316 average, a mark that was 16 points higher than last season's .300 mark. They improved from .377 to .394 in the on-base category and from .425 to .429 in slugging. Overall, Harford scored 209 runs in 2014, a 42 run improvement over 2013's 167 run output.
