Harford Community College Athletics

Cailey Aburn returns to Harford for her fourth year as an assistant on head coach Nikki Murphy's staff after helping the Fighting Owls reach the NJCAA Tournament all three seasons as an assistant.

In 2014, Aburn helped guide the team to a 9-8 campaign, marking the first time since 2008 that the Fighting Owls finished above .500. Harford advanced to the Region XX Championship Final and the NJCAA Tournament for the second-straight season. All four MD JUCO teams finished with identical 3-3 records, and the Fighting Owls shared the 2014 MD JUCO Title.

In 2013, Aburn helped step up and lead Harford to an eight-win season, the third-most in school history in her first year on the sidelines. While Murphy stepped away on maternity leave, Aburn and fellow assistant Lisa Parr guided the team.

Aburn played for St. Mary's College of Maryland's women's lacrosse team from 2011-2012. She served as a captain for both of her two years at that program and received the Coach's Award in 2012. She also played collegiately at George Mason University in Virginia from 2009-2010.

Aburn graduated from The John Carroll School in Bel Air where she won the Maryland High School State Championship in 2007 and 2008.
