BEL AIR, Md. - The No. 8 Harford women's soccer team (13-1-0, 6-1-0) earned its 13th win of the year with a 7-0 victory over Essex at home on Monday. The Fighting Owls jumped out to a 3-0 lead just 15 minutes into the game and coasted for the win.
Penelope Fantis and 
Alexa Carlevaro each scored a pair of goals in the win, while 
Beth Lambros added a pair of assists. 
Amanda Ballard, 
Becky McManus and 
Erin Lynn also added goals for the eighth-ranked squad.
Fantis and 
Jenna Quaranta teamed up for the first goal in the game's fourth minute. Just five minutes later, Ballard and 
Beth Novak increased the lead to 2-0. In the game's 14th minute, Lambros sent in a perfect corner that found the head of Carlevaro for a quick 3-0 advantage.
Freshman 
Audrey Baldwin made three saves to earn her ninth shutout of the season.
The Fighting Owls travel to Southern Maryland on Wednesday for their final conference tilt of the year.
