BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford volleyball team moved closer to the program record in victories with a 3-1 win at Frederick on Tuesday. The Fighting Owls 11th win puts the squad one win away from tying the record with three matches remaining in the season.
The 2007 Fighting Owl volleyball team claimed 12 wins, while the 2010 Harford team is currently 11-10. Tuesday night, Harford earned the victory, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 25-21.
Ashley Dorsey had a double-double with 16 kills and 15 digs, adding a match-best six aces.
Emma Anderson handed out 41 assists to pace the offense.
Amanda Barger added nine kills and 14 digs, narrowly missing a double-double.
Amanda Mackey and
Rebecca Wysocki each contributed eight kills in the win, while
Kaitlyn Hall recorded 29 digs.
The Fighting Owls look to match the school wins record at home on Monday on sophomore night against Rockville at 7 p.m.
