BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford men's basketball team (4-0) held on for another nail-bitter victory on Monday at home over Delaware County (1-3), 60-57. Ten Fighting Owls made a notch in the scoring column en route to the win.
Despite shooting 21.4 percent (6-for-28) from the field in the second half, Harford was solid at the free throw line, converting 15-of-20 attempts to cling to improve to 4-0 for the second consecutive season.
Keegan Harper scored all six of his points from the charity stripe in the final moments.
Jeff Joynes recorded 11 of his team-high 13 points in the first half, to go along with six rebounds.
Digges Bosley scored nine points and pulled in 10 rebounds, seven defensive to help key the win.
Adam Fongyen nabbed nine caroms as the Fighting Owls owned the glass with a 46-37 advantage.
Lionel Perkins added eight points and three steals.
Alex Heatwole also had three steals for Harford.
The Fighting Owls return to the hardwood on Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Dundalk.
