BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford men's basketball team (4-5, 0-5) took an eight-point lead into the locker room at halftime, but eventually dropped an 88-80 decision to Howard on Monday night. The Dragons outscored the Fighting Owls 50-34 after the break.
Lionel Perkins led all scorers with 24 points, shooting 7-for-15 from the field, including 4-for-5 from behind the arc.
Brandon Selby pulled in 12 rebounds while battling an illness before fouling out.
Jeff Joynes scored 17 points on 8-for-14 shooting while recording seven rebounds and
Jada Johnson had 12 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
The Dragons shot 51.4 percent after the break, while Harford managed just 35.3 percent.
The Fighting Owls return to the hardwood on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Germantown.
