BEL AIR, Md. - The No. 4/5 Harford women's soccer team (2-0-0) continued to shut down the opposition on its home turf on Sunday with a 10-0 shutout of Morris. The Fighting Owls had six different goal scorers in the win and didn't allow a shot of any kind for the second-straight game.
Four different Fighting Owls scored two goals in the victory, including freshman Andrea Siedlarczyk's second consecutive multiple-goal effort. The rookie forward is now tied for the team lead in goals with four.
Sophomore Jenna Quaranta connected on two strikes, including the first of the game in the 9th minute. Freshman Kristina Rivera assisted on that tally, as well as the team's second goal of the game, to give her a team-best four assists on the year.
Sophomore forwards Beth Lambros and Beth Novak each contributed a pair of markers. Lambros now has three goals on the season, while Novak added her first assists of the season in the first half.
Freshman midfielder Amanda Ballard added her first career goal to give Harford a 2-0 lead, and sophomore midfielder Meredith Greives added her first of the season in the 67th minute.
For the second consecutive game, the Fighting Owl defense did not allow a shot. Rookie goalkeeper Audrey Baldwin collected her second-straight shutout without much work.
The Fighting Owls return to Harford Stadium, where they own a 13-game unbeaten streak (12-0-1), on Thursday against Cecil at 5 p.m. They also play on Friday at 5 p.m. at home against Sussex.
