LA PLATA, Md. - The Harford volleyball team lost a road match in straight sets on Thursday at Southern Maryland, 25-18, 25-17, 25-15. The conference loss drops the Fighting Owls' record to 3-7 overall, and 2-2 in MDJUCO play.
The Fighting Owls were led offensively by Amanda Barger and Ashley Dorsey, who both contributed five kills. Barger committed just one attacking error in 12 attempts for a .333 hitting percentage, while Dorsey added a team-high six digs and two service aces.
Emma Anderson totaled 15 assists and five digs, while Rebecca Wysocki had four kills and zero errors. Amanda Mackey added three kills with zero errors, and Kaitlyn Hall scored six digs in the loss.
The Fighting Owls travel to Catonsville on Sept. 21 for a 7 p.m. start.
