BEL AIR, Md. - The No. 4/5 Harford women's soccer team earned its third conference victory of the season and improved to 8-0-0 overall with a 14-0 victory over Prince George's on Tuesday at Harford Stadium.
Sophomore Jenna Quaranta netted a hat trick and three assists in the first half, while classmates Erin Lynn and Penelope Fantis each tallied two goals in the win. Fantis also added a pair of helpers in the first half.
Harford totaled 37 shots, 22 on goal, in the first half alone. Overall, the Fighting Owls recorded 48 shots with 27 on goal. The Harford defense did not allow a shot from Prince George's.
Lynn opened the scoring in the 20th minute, and followed with her team-leading 13th tally just one minute later. Quaranta assisted on both markers, and then started scoring goals. She sent her first goal to the back of the net in the 25th minute, and finished the scoring in the first half with back-to-back goals before the buzzer.
Fantis scored in the 22nd and 38th minute, and assisted on both of Quaranta's last minute goals. Amanda Ballard, Kristina Rivera and Lyndsie Ludwig also added goals in the opening stanza.
In the second half, Andrea Siedlarczyk notched three goals, two being assisted by Beth Novak. Becky McManus also added a second-half goal.
The Fighting Owls travel to Howard on Tuesday for a MDJUCO contest.
