Volleyball Sweeps Delaware County At Home

BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford volleyball team (4-7, 2-3) eanred a non-conference sweep on Thursday, defeating Delaware County, 25-5, 25-18, 25-4.

Sophomore Jaclyn Hall tallied three kills in four attempts in the first set, and then switched to setter for the remainder of the match, handing out 10 assists. Freshman Emma Anderson added nine assists, including eight in the first set, in the win.

Harford earned eight kills against zero attack errors for a .533 attack percentage in the first set before scoring seven kills in nine attempts in the third set for a .778 clip.

Amanda Power was the key in the victoty as Amanda Barger and Amanda Mackey totaled 11 kills. Barger tallied a team-best six kills in nine attempts without an error for a .667 hitting percentage while Mackey added five kills in six attempts with one error, also scoring a .667 clip.

Ashley Dorsey had seven aces, Hall added six, Barger five and Rebecca Wysocki totaled four in the win. Celena Core posted a career-best three kill, ranking third on the team.

The Fighting Owls travel to Allegany for a conference match on Saturday at 2 p.m.
