No. 4/5 Women's Soccer Remains Unbeaten At Howard, 6-1

AZamora V1
COLUMBIA, Md. - The No. 4/5 Harford women's soccer team improved to 9-0-0 this season with a 6-1 road victory over Howard on Tuesday. Sophomore Jenna Quaranta scored two times and classmates Erin Lynn added a goal and a pair of assists.

Quaranta got the potent offense started with two quick first half markers. Penelope Fantis  and freshman Amanda Zamora assisted, giving the Fighting Owls a 2-0 lead.

The score was 3-1 at the half, after Lynn assisted 2009 All-American Beth Lambros. Harford netted three markers after the intermission to cruise to a 6-1 victory.

Freshman Becky McManus was assisted by Amanda Ballard to open the second half. Lynn tallied her league-leading 14 goal of the season with an assist from Lambros moments later, and Fantis closed the scoring with help from Lynn.

Audrey Baldwin made one save in the contest, allowing just her third goal of the season, bringing her goals-against average to 0.26.

The Fighting Owls return home for a contest against Burlington on Thursday at 4 p.m.
