Men's Hoops Rallies For First Road Conference Win

LA PLATA, Md. - Despite trailing by as many as 13 points in the first half at Southern Maryland, head coach Brian Selby and his Harford Fighting Owls would not be denied their first road conference victory of the season. Harford was clutch down the stretch and a last-second rebound by Digges Bosley secured a 76-74 victory.

Keegan Harper made a pair of free throws to put Harford up 76-73 with 11 seconds left. After Southern Maryland went to the line for two with one second remaining, the Hawks were forced to make one and miss the second. Bosley slapped that rebound to the other end of the court as Harford collected the victory.

Jeff Joynes led the Fighting Owls with 22 points and Lionel Perkins added 14 markers in the win. For the sixth time this season, Brandon Selby recorded a double-double with 12 points and a dozen rebounds. It also marked the eighth double-figure rebound contest of Selby's season.

Jada Johnson added 13 points while Bosley totaled four boards rebounds despite playing with an injury.

The Fighting Owls return home for a special contest on Saturday at 2 p.m. The second game of a doubleheader with Baltimore City will be the final doubleheader of the Susquehanna Center before the Athletics Department renovates the gymnasium. The contest will also be televised by the Harford Sports Network.
