ABERDEEN, Md. - The Harford men's basketball team (1-9, 0-4 MD JUCO) dropped a conference contest to Anne Arundel (4-4, 1-3 MD JUCO) at home on Friday, 88-77.
Sophomore
Keegan Harper exploded for a career-high 18 points, including a career-best four 3-pointers, in the loss. Harper, the team's lne returner from last year's roster, had been held scoreless in four of the Fighting Owls' previous nine games, but on this night, he set his career-high, breaking his previous total of 13, which also came against Anne Arundel last season on Feb. 7.
Freshmen
Dimitrious Jelen-Joy and
Dorien Rochester each recorded 13 points and four rebounds. Jelen-Joy went 3-for-4 from behind the arc.
Overall as a team, Harford shot 11-for-20 from 3-point range to help stay in it. However, the Fighting Owls were plagued by numerous missed lay-ups, shooting just 16-for-44 inside the long-distance arc.
Carlos Brown scored seven points and
Roger Schuman came off the bench to net a career-high six markers in the loss.
The Fighting Owls are back in action on Wednesday at home against CCBC-Catonsville at 8:15 p.m.
