HOWARD, Md. - The No. 6 Harford women's lacrosse team crept toward .500 with its second-straight victory on Thursday, a 19-15 win over No. 7 Howard. The Fighting Owls now sit 4-5, and 3-3 in conference play.
Kelsey Byrd and
Holly Webb each recorded six points in the win. Byrd had a team-high five goals while Webb added four markers.
Sarah Chetelat and
Erin Lynn both added three goals and an assist for Harford.
Morgan Cillo scored a goal and added an assist.
The Fighting Owls took an 11-8 lead into halftime, but the Dragons scored the first three of the second half to tie the score at 11. Harford reaquired the lead for good with a goal by Chetelat to make the score 15-13.
Natalie Crenshaw earned the win in net, making 12 saves.
The Fighting Owls face No. 4 Catonsville at home on Monday at 4 p.m.
