BALTIMORE - The Harford men's soccer team (1-1-1, 0-0-1 MD JUCO) outplayed the defending Region XX Champions on the road, but settled for a 2-2 tie against Essex (1-0-1, 1-0-1 MD JUCO) on Saturday.

The Fighting Owls took a 2-1 lead into the final four minutes of the game, but managed to earn an impressive result on the road.

Jahlil Gage tied the score just after halftime with a header. Harford took the lead with 9:27 remaining in the contest when freshman Carmine Hess scored with help from Chris Panian. Essex was able to force overtime, though, with three minutes remaining.

The men travel to Howard on Sept. 12 at 3:30 p.m. to make up a contest previously postponed from last week.
