BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford volleyball team (3-1) used a total team effort to sweep Delaware Tech-Terry in Monday's home opener. The Fighting Owls outhit the Hawks .300 to .021 in the 25-14, 25-15, 25-18 win.
Lauren Cappellini led the way for the offense, pounding out an .875 hitting percentage on seven kills with no errors in eight attempts.
Brandi Smith also did not committ an attacking error, tallying five kills with a .455 hitting clip.
Smith and
Tina Arzola both recorded 11 service aces in the victory. The Fighting Owls totaled 25 aces overall. Arzola added 19 assists, while
Marissa Curran totaled five kills and
Maddie Hewitt chipped in with a team-best six digs.
The Fighting Owls return to Harford Tech on Wednesday for a conference match against Cecil at 7 p.m.
