LA PLATA, Md. - The Harford men's soccer team (6-2-1, 4-0-1) earned a marquee victory over No. 18 Southern Maryland (6-1-0, 3-1-0) on Thursday. The Fighting Owls handed the Hawks their first loss of the year, picking up the road win 2-1 in the second overtime period.

Glenn Grove netted his second game winner of the season when he collected a through ball from sophomore
Patrick Maher in the 103rd minute.
Despite the rainy day and the muddy field conditions, both teams played a solid game. The Fighting Owls scored first on a penalty kick early in the second half.
Chris Panian was tripped up in the box and awarded the PK, which he connected on for his fourth goal of the season.
With 10 minutes remaining, CSM's Carlos Dell'Agostino netted the equalizer, forcing the extra time.

Andrew Bodt made five phenomenal saves to improve to 4-0-0 on the season.
