NORTH EAST, Md. - The Harford women's soccer team (6-5-3, 5-1-1 MD JUCO) won a tightly contested road conference match at Cecil (4-6-1, 0-5-1 MD JUCO) on Saturday, 2-1. The Fighting Owls secured the win with an own goal in the 88th minute.
Cella Cerrato put the Fighting Owls on the board in the 27th minute off a free kick. Cecil's Maria Nino netted the equalizer 13 minutes later on a fast break and the teams enter the half deadlocked at 1-1.
The Seahawks packed it in defensively, and Harford was the beneficiary of an unfortunate bounce for Cecil on the own goal as the game winner.

Maggie Shifflett made two saves in the win, while Cecil's April Wiliams made eight.
The Fighting Owls return home for Sophomore Night on Tuesday against Montgomery.
