BEL AIR, Md. -- Harford women's soccer (7-5-3, 6-1-1 MD JUCO) rode two early goals to a 2-0 win over Montgomery (7-5-1, 4-3-0 MD JUCO) to clinch a share of the MD JUCO regular season title for the third consecutive season. The Fighting Owl sophomores were recognized in the final regular season match of the season.

Freshman Christie Brown opened the scoring in the seventh minute when she pin-pointed a right footed shot into the bottom left corner after being set up by fellow freshman, Brianna Worthington. Sophomore Kerri Valladares scored in the 18th minute from a tight angle outside of the box. Initially a cross, Valladares' effort looped over the Montgomery keeper into the net to make it 2-0. Sophomore Christina Verzi provided the assist.

Harford will host the NJCAA Region XX Championships at Harford Stadium. The Fighting Owls begin their quest to return to the NJCAA National Championships when they face off with No. 3 seeded Essex in the opening round next Thursday at 5:30.
