Volleyball Splits Final Regular Season Test

BALTIMORE, Md. - The Harford volleyball team (16-7, 8-5 MD JUCO) finished its regular season with a school record 16 wins after a Thursday split at CCBC Catonsville. The Fighting Owls prepared for the postseason with a win over the Cardinals and a loss against Northern Virginia.

Harford swept Catonsville (2-20, 2-9 MD JUCO) 25-16, 25-10, 25-15 and got swpet by NoVa (19-7), 25-21, 25-13, 25-20.

Freshman Lexie Roberts, who leads the MD JUCO in kils per set, totaled 11 kills against the Cardinals and 13 against NoVa. She recorded a double-double against Catonsville with 12 digs while adding eight digs against Northern Virginia.

Ashley Joyner totaled 18 kills on the day, while Emily Letke combined for 34 assists.

The Fighting Owls will take on Baltimore City in their first Region XX Championship on Friday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m.
