BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford volleyball team (7-4, 5-4 MD JUCO) picked the wrong match to turn in its porest effort of the season, falling to undefeated Howard (14-0, 7-0 MD JUCO) in straight sets. The Fighting Owls hung tough in the first set, but were outmatched in the final two, 25-17, 25-10, 25-10.

Lexie Roberts recorded 10 kills in the loss, marking the eighth time this season that the freshman has totaled double-digit kills. The rest of the Fighting Owls tallied just six kills, as the team committed more errors (27) than kills (16). Alissa Buettner led the team with nine digs, followed closely by Roberts' eight.

The Fighting Owls travel to Chesapeake on Thursday.
