BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford women's lacrosse team (0-2) could not overcome a slow start as they fell to NJCAA fourth ranked Onondaga (1-0) 15-10. The Fighting Owls came into the game ranked sixth in the NJCAA.
The Lazers were sharp early as they blitzed Harford with five unanswered goals in the opening 10 minutes of the game.
Sara Lebrun,
Rebecca Kuhn and
Katie Spence got the Owls on the board as the teams traded three goals each in the remaining 20 minutes, ending the first half 8-3.
Harford was able to get within four with a goal by Lebrun a minute and a half into the second half but Odonaga answered with five of the next six goals to build a commanding 13-5 lead. Harford finished the game on a 6-2 run but the Lazers were able to coast to a victory in their season opener.
Lebrun paced the Harford scoring attack with a hat trick while Spence added a second to her tally.

Amanda Jones and
Morgan Cillo contributed a goal each in the contest. Angela Vespa led the way for Odonaga with four goals and four assists.
The Fighting Owls next game will be their MD JUCO Conference opener when they welcome Catonsville on Tuesday, March 20th at Harford Stadium.
