BEL AIR, Md. - The No 9 Harford women's lacrosse team (5-6) bested Brookdale (1-6) 19-7 on Wednesday. The Fighting Owls jumped out to a 12-4 lead at the half and cruised to the victory.

Freshman Maddie Hewitt led the way with four goals, while classmate Brooke Poore tallied three goals and one assist. Rookie Sara Lebrun also scored three goals for the Fighting Owls.

Katie Spence chipped in with thre assists, while 12 different Fighting Owls registered a point in the win. Rookie Maggie Shifflett made seven saves for her fifth win of the year.

The Fighting Owls travel to Nassau on Sunday.
