BEL AIR, Md. - The Fighting Owls (7-8, 2-5) were propelled by a strong second half to beat Essex (10-5, 4-3), 17-10. Harford was led by strong performances by sophomores Maddie Hewitt and Andrea Siedlarczyk on Sophomore Night.

Hewitt led all Fighting Owl goal scorers with four goals. Siedlarczyk scored one of her two goals in dazzling fashion, faking out the goal keeper and shooting a behind the back, over the shoulder shot into the top corner. She also had two assists.

The Fighting Owls were able to cruise to victory with a 17-goal effort despite only one goal from freshman Sara Lebrun who finishes the regular season with a team leading 48 goals. Freshman Katie Spence scored three goals and added an assist. Maggie Shifflett finished the game with 10 saves.
