BEL AIR, Md. - A strong second half outburst propelled the No. 5 Harford women's lacrosse team (4-4, 2-2 MD JUCO) to a 20-12 conference win over Howard (4-2, 2-2 MD JUCO) on Tuesday. The Fighting Owls outscored the Dragons 13-6 after the break, including eight-straight goals to turn an 8-8 tie into a 14-8 lead.
Sara Lebrun scored six goals and
Katie Spence added four markers for the victors.
Brooke Poore,
Morgan Cillo and
Jennifer Miller chipped in with a pair of goals, as well.
Maggie Shifflett made eight saves in goal for the Fighting Owls.
Hannah Kuhn was one of three student-athletes with two assists, including one to her sister
Rebecca Kuhn in the second half.
The Fighting Owls travel to CCBC Catonsville on Thursday.
